The activity was very helpful because there were a few things I didn't know. If this activity was not completed, I was not going to be able to know where i'm lacking and where exactly I should focus on. For example, the term Gait is to describe the way people walk or run. I now know that off by heart. And also as student nurses, we are going to be working with patients on a daily basis, which will mean our bodies will be on the go at all time's and we have to learn how to take care of it so that we do not injure our backs and legs. I learned a few body mechanisms of what to do and not to do during lifting a patient and body posture. Another factor that I found interesting to learn is the Ramberg Test, which is when the patient is asked to stand with feet together and eyes closed, and to hold that position for approximately 30 seconds, this is to check if you have balance problems that are related to proprioception. It was a good activity and very useful.
