This module has made me realize how important it is to ensure a safe therapeutic environment for the medical staff, patients and visitors.
•Nurses can ensure that floors are clean/dry & clutter free to prevent falls.
•Always be sure how to administer medication (dosage/time/ and whether it it orally or intravenously/etc).
•Practice patient identification to give the service to the correct person.
•Adhere to infection prevention and control to prevent HAI
•Nurses should only use restraints as a last resort with doctors prescription to protect the patient...report needle stick injuries and know how to prevent them e.g put sharps in neutral zone (kidney dish) when carrying them
This module has made me realize that if l understood the theory then l could do it practically.If l failed to do it practically then l didn't understand it theoretically
