Comfort goes with relaxation and there are a lot of contributing factors to discomfort in patients e.g. pain, illness, restricted mobility, hunger, thirst and the fear of the unknown. So, in order for the patient to at least be comfortable and relaxed I am required to provide bed accessories. I need to put the patient in a comfortable position, change linen and provide necessary bed accessories to promote comfort. It is important to do comfort rounds ask probing questions in order to find out what you can do to promote the patient's comfort; this is done in order to assist the patient in healing.
Comfort, rest and providing patient with accessories that promote comfort during their stay in the hospital.
