It's already yours, keep on keeping on

How I stay motivated:

I don't necessarily believe that I can stay motivated, however, I have gotten this far through determination and discipline. Motivation is a lot like happiness, it is temporary and can be affected by human influence and human nature. According to Britannica, motivation is "derived from the Latin term motivus (a moving cause), which suggests the activating properties of processes involved in psychological  motivation". This means that motivation is what makes us act on certain things. Motivation without determination and discipline won't get anyone anywhere.

So, to rephrase my previous subheading ...

How I stay determined and disciplined:

Despite having failed first year, I managed to continue staying determined to complete this course and reach my goal through constant prayer, seeking guidance from The Word of God, obedience, patient, diligence, honesty (with myself and others), being gracious towards myself as God is to me, maintaining balance between work and personal time, and lastly trusting God's Will and Purpose for my life. I was and still am demotivated majority of the time, because I am human, but my determination to fulfill my purpose in this career is what drives me to stay disciplined despite the demotivation or lack of motivation. Thanks to that and Jesus Christ, I am in my 3rd year of the course and only have 6 months until completion of this course, God willingly.

My motivation to you:

Success is already yours. In the Bible, Joshua was assigned to lead Isrealites to the Land of Milk and Honey (which God had already given to them, they just needed to claim it). The lack of determination, disobedience and lack of faith from the Isrealites caused a 11 day task to take 40 years to achieve or reach; bare in mind the Land already belonged to them. The fact that God had already given the Isrealites the Land was motivation, but without the determination and discipline it could not be achieved sooner. However, despite the long journey to Canaan (The Land of Milk and Honey), they got what they worked towards, because they were determined.

Continue to fight for whatever motivated you to start this nursing journey, continue to stay determined and discipline in achieving this end goal of yours. Keep on keeping on. Do not let external factors cause you to lose the fire or spark that you had when you first realized that you love being a nurse.

You are valued, you are loved and you are destined for greatness. There is nothing that you set your mind to that is impossible in the Eyes of God, lean on to Him and He will guide you. Be blessed, in Jesus' Name.
