It is important to consider that when caring for or dealing with patients or family members in a situation of loss, grief and dying you have be very cautious with how to talk because people deal with loss differently therefore it is important to offer comfort and emotional support also bearing in mind that there are many different beliefs that comes into consideration and to be sensitive to the processes surrounding these beliefs . I believe the most important role as a nurse in a situation of loss is to be open minded because we live in a rainbow nation with a plethora of different beliefs and the most important thing to do is to provide the family with the comfort and emotional support for their situation
