By understanding these differences, we can provide respectful, personalised support during the grieving process.

2. We can foster a supportive environment for those experiencing loss by creating space for empathy, respect and individualised care; practising active listening, acknowledgement of grief, respect for cultural and spiritual needs and encouraging professional help.
