After going through the presentation, I have come to understand the stages of grief are indeed the cycle in which one deals with grief because it does begin with denial and eventually end with acceptance as we’ve come to the realisation that the situation has happened and it cannot be changed, instead we can only move forward from it. I have also come to the understanding that care provided to a dying patient should be the same as care provided to one that is full of life, the rights remain the same for all patients, they deserve to feel seen and understood even in their last days, they deserve to die with dignity and this is something that I believe should always be emphasised when providing care for a dying patient.
