Grief can manifest in different ways and stages which are denial, anger, Bargaining, depression and acceptance. it is a process of coping with loss and is different for each individual. grieving can affect you physically with reactions such as weight loss, fatigue, loss of appetite and insomnia as well as emotions such as sadness, guilt and anger. it is our role as nurses to support the patient and family members through these stages and acknowledging their loss by providing ongoing support.

nurses play a crucial role in supporting dying patients and their families. by providing a peaceful and dignified end of life with cultural sensitive nursing care. Respecting the rights of the dying patient. supporting family and educating them.
