Commitment to evidence-based practice, by making evidence based decision that are in the best interest of your patients. engaging in research.

Professional accountability and ethical conduct, by being responsible for one's actions, doing what is expected of you provided it is within your scope of practice and exuding ethical conduct at all times.

Lifelong learning and professional development, achieved through CPDs and ongoing research. 

Collaborative and respectful communication, by making use of clear and concise forms of communicating, being respectful and advocating for patients. 

Advocacy for patients and the profession but being the voice of the patient at all times and also for colleagues.

Leadership and role modeling by demonstrating professionalism in attitude and appearance at all times. Mentoring younger and student nurses. 

Prioritizing self-care and preventing burnout by promoting a balance between work and social life, encouraging break and consideration of mental health. E.g Life Health Solutions 

Standardization and quality improvement by ensuring that the workforce is competent and  policies for standardized care consistency

Cultural competence and inclusivity, by eliminating discrimination, biases and fostering an inclusive work environment and a diverse workforce.

Professional unity and collective voice, in the form of trade unions or professional associations that foster unity, conflict resolution, protection of nurses' right and celebration of the profession.
