Before this presentation there was a few things I did not know about stress and coping and the presentation has helped me understand more about it and have a more in depth understanding of stress and coping mechanisms. I have enhanced my viewpoint and knowledge of stress and coping. It refreshed my mind on the topic and my understanding have varied and mixed together.

There are short term strategies of coping which quickly reduce stress and long term strategies which reduce stress over time and improves overall well-being.

There are both psychological and cognitive indicators of stress.

Process of coping can be adaptive or maladaptive which means you can or cannot adjust adequately to coping.

There is lots of strategies and mechanisms to reduce stress, especially reduce stress for the nurse for example learning to accept failures and accept what you cannot change. To direct your energy outwards, you can exercise regularly. Seek counseling and participate in addressing and solving workplace issues and organization.
