  • Study Schedules

    This is your Study schedule for the year.

    Information included in this document is:

    1) Dates and content of your theoretical blocks

    2) Dates and content of the Assessment weeks

    3) Dates of your Clinical blocks which will include information about the Self-directed learning activities for each week.

  • Assessment Schedules

    This document contains the information that you will need to have in planning and preparing for your assessments. It includes:

    1) Dates of all subject assessments

    2) Assessment activities e.g. is it a written test, online test oral presentation or a group assignment.

    3) The theoretical content that will be included in each assessment activity.

    4) The assessment total for each activity.

  • Work Integrated Learning

    The Clinical Facilitation Plan (CFP) contains information about your clinical programme. It should be used while in clinical practice to communicate with the Unit Manager so you can plan your activities in the wards. this document includes;

    1) The dates of each clinical week

    2) The expected hours that you will work e.g. Experiential hours, Simulation hours, Clinical accompaniment hours and Self-directed hours.

    NB - it might happen that the hours is not 100% planned by the UM and CTS in this way - your responsibility is to ensure that at the end of your clinical placement and before you come back to block - the minimum hours have been met.

    3) Simulation demonstration and practice topics

    4) Activities you have to engage in while in the unit to meet your outcomes

    5) Competency assessments due for each week

    6) Reflection - a important part of the learning process is to take time and reflect on completed activities to identify the strong point and the areas that need development in your learning journey. 

    The WIL - Standard Guideline is a document that provides the standards from which your clinical tools are based. Use this document when you observe a demonstration of identified competencies and skills, when you practice and when you prepare for an assessment.

  • Learner Guides

    Each subject has its own learner guide.

    Each learner guide gives you an overview of the specific subject in relation to the programme.

    It includes:

    1) Learning outcomes (LO) and Specific learning outcomes (SLO)

    2) Content to be covered under each SLO 

    3) Pre-and-post class activities to engage with to help you manage the workload and enhance the learning journey. NB - Some of these activities will count towards your formative marks, which will determine if you obtain exam entry.
