The group norms that enhance nursing as a profession include working well with others, showing respect, following ethical rules, whilst always acting in a professional manner. These norms aid nurses in team work, maintaining a high standard of care and building trust with patients. They also encourage compassion, honesty, and accountability, which are imperative  for providing care that is safe and of high quality. When nurses follow these shared values, it strenghtens their image and role as professionals in the healthcare system.
