As nurses, we deal with loss, grief, and dying every day of our careers. At first, it's something you can't get used to, but as time goes by, you gain insight that everyone at the end will eventually die, and you can't save every patient. The only thing you can do is keep doing your best every day and never blame yourself. Sometimes nurses have to show up while they are grieving; it's still surprising how they can do that, it makes you wonder, how are they dealing with their emotions? Our passion for this career is something that not everyone can replicate.
